Where is the bus? The question every school office hears every morning.
When the school bus is late, parents call the office, the office calls the driver, and the driver answers the phone while driving. Parents wait at the stop without knowing if the bus has passed. Route lists live in Excel, stop changes are shared by word of mouth, and if something goes wrong on the road there is no quick, recorded way for the driver to raise an alarm. Transport fees are tracked separately from the main fee ledger.

VegaEdu's bus driver role has its own mobile app. When the driver starts a trip, the bus location is shared by GPS and parents of students on that route can track the bus live in the parent app, so they know when to reach the stop. If there is an emergency the driver can send an SOS alert, and incidents such as a breakdown or delay can be reported from the app. The transport manager sets up buses, routes and stops, assigns students, and transport fees are collected through the fees module like any other fee.

- STEP 01
Set up buses and routes
The transport manager adds buses, creates routes with stops and assigns students to each route and stop.

Driver logs in
Each bus driver logs in to the driver app on their phone and starts the trip when the bus leaves.

Parents track live
Parents of students on that route open the app and see the bus moving on the map in real time.

Handle the unexpected
Drivers raise SOS alerts or incident reports from the app, and the transport manager follows up and informs parents through notices.
